Environmental education is at the core of everything FCEA does, and we use birds and forest restoration as a vehicle for facilitating environmental education experiences for diverse audiences in the community. This talk will describe how in less than four years since its 2020 founding, FCEA has created and protected bird habitat, engaged kids and adults alike in bird-focused environmental education, and contributed to avian scientific research, and highlights how everyone—whether they live near or far—can get involved in hands-on positive action to help birds in Costa Rica.
