Dr. Christina Caruso, Associate Professor, Dept. of Integrative Biology, U of G
–
There is worldwide concern about pollinator decline. Dr. Caruso is interested in how plants respond to pollinator decline over time and how it affects their evolution. She will share the surprising results of her research.
Christina (Chris) Caruso is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph, where she studies the ecology and evolution of native plants. Before moving to Guelph 20 years ago, she lived in Ohio (where she received her undergraduate degree in biology), Illinois (where she received her PhD in biology), Iowa and North Carolina (where she held post-PhD research positions). In her free time, Chris is a voracious reader, an enthusiastic home cook and baker, and a year-round early-morning runner.
