Join us at the Moth Garden at Ignatius Jesuit Centre for an evening moth walk. Created by artists Lisa Hirmer and Christina Kingsbury, the Moth Garden is dedicated to nocturnal pollinators of our world. The artists will lead the walk and guide participants on shifting their sensory systems to consider how other beings, like moths, sense the world.
Registration Required: Click here to register through Eventbrite.
We will meet at 9:00 pm at the Farm Workshop parking lot (follow the signs) and then walk to the Moth Garden. This walk is about 15 minutes along a gravel roadway with mowed grass paths which have some uneven surfaces and slight to moderate inclines. Please let us know if this is an access barrier as we can arrange to shuttle some people to the garden. Because the event is centred around meeting other beings in their own sensory worlds, we ask that you avoid the use of insect repellents and other scented products. We will have bug suits available, or bring your own. We also recommend long sleeves and pants to protect from the mosquitos.
