April’s Bird Wing meeting will feature David Pritchard, co-owner and co-founder and roast-master of Birds and Beans Inc.  David will be answering the key questions; what is Bird Friendly® coffee and why does it matter?

Birds of Two Worlds

David will discuss the basics of Bird Friendly coffee and how our migratory songbirds link the people of North, South and Central America and how we must all work together to save the birds.

He will describe what Bird Friendly coffee is and how it can be a powerful tool in the race to save our migratory songbirds. Bird Friendly coffee is an example of a sustainable agriculture model.

David is the Cofounder and Head Roaster of Birds and Beans Inc. Prior to founding B&B, David held a number of positions in the Healthcare and Biotech sectors.

He is an avid Native Plant Gardener and noticed that the native plants supported a wide variety of insects and bird species. It was this interest in native plants that helped to develop his views on the importance of conservation of natural habitat which in turn led to the interest in Bird Friendly coffee. He is a firm believer that our way forward to a sustainable world is to work with nature rather than conquer it.
