Giant Hogweed Invasion: John Kemp will show photos of giant hogweed plants at all stages of growth and discuss its hazards and safety for recreation around these plants. Population spread, control actions and successes will be highlighted. John Kemp has been working to find and eradicate giant hogweed along the Grand River since 2010. He has connected with local officials, landowners, and local outdoors groups while attempting to increase the scale of the Giant Hogweed Mitigation Project. John presently resides in St. George, Brant.
Tree Trust: Tree Trust’s core mission is to preserve older trees through expert assessment and specialized arborist care. Tree Trust is a made-in-Centre Wellington program supporting legacy trees growing in communities in Southern Ontario.
