Nature Guelph hosts a robust series of monthly indoor meetings from September to May (no indoor meetings in June, July or August), with special guest speakers presenting on a diverse range of nature-related topics. All of our Speaker Series presentations follow a brief meeting where members can socialize and are updated on the latest news and upcoming events. Our main Speaker Series takes place at The Arboretum Centre, with special interest groups Nature Guelph Wildflower and Bird Wing hosting their meetings at separate locations in Guelph.

Nature Guelph Speaker Series

Our main Speaker Series takes place at 7:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month at The Arboretum Centre, University of Guelph, 200 Arboretum Rd., Guelph, and covers a diverse range of speakers and nature-related topics. The December program is our Annual General Meeting and Members’ Night, which includes short presentations by members.

Nature Guelph Wildflower Events and Speaker Series

Nature Guelph Wildflower meets at 7:30 pm on the third Tuesday of each month at Water Street Church, 287 Water St., Guelph. During these meetings, invited speakers give their presentations, plant raffles take place, and members socialize over coffee and cookies.

Nature Guelph Bird Wing Speaker Series

Nature Guelph Bird Wing meets at 7:30 pm on the first Thursday of each month at Wild Birds Unlimited, 987 Gordon St., Guelph. Meetings may include bird-related news and Wellington notable bird sightings, as well as our key speaker presentation. Everyone is invited to share their Wellington notable bird sightings and to submit photos prior to meetings. Examples include: a lifer, first-of-the-year, one that you were shocked to see, one you thought you saw, or any other reason a bird caught your interest.

In-Person (and Sometimes  Zoom)

Meetings and Speaker Series will be primarily in-person, with occasional Zoom meetings to allow for special speakers or extreme weather. We hope members will appreciate the opportunity for social time and a more engaging experience with our speakers. For presentations available via Zoom, don’t forget to register beforehand. We will also endeavour to post recordings of our presentations to our YouTube channel.

You don’t need to be a Nature Guelph member to attend our events and programs, but consider buying an annual membership if you’re enjoying what we have to offer.

FREE (But Donations Are Always Welcome)

All our events are free and open to the public but donations are welcome. Regular visitors are encouraged to join Nature Guelph to receive the benefits of membership and help support our organization.

Donations can be made in person at one of our events, on our website, through Canada Helps, or by mailing a cheque to: Nature Guelph, P.O. Box 1401, Guelph, Ontario  N1H 6N8.
Suggested donation of $5 for non-members. Charitable receipts available for donations over $10.
