Get to know the popular birdwatching locations in the city of Guelph and the surrounding area. In this talk, William Konze will detail some of his favourite birding locations, and discuss how to find the species that pass through this area during spring migration. Locations preview: Guelph Lake, Mountsberg, Luther Marsh, Ignatius Jesuit Center, Yorklands/O.R, the Arboretum.

William Konze is an avid birdwatcher and University of Guelph student studying Wildlife Biology and Conservation. Born and raised in Guelph, he has spent countless hours exploring the natural areas in and around Wellington county. He is currently employed at Point Pelee National Park as a hike leader for the Festival of Birds, and is excited to be spending the upcoming field season in Newfoundland and northern Ontario counting and banding birds.

This meeting is a hybrid meeting. Our monthly Bird Wing meeting will precede the presentation and include bird-related news, Wellington Notable Bird sightings, and an update from the regional coordinator for the Ontario Breeding Bird Atlas for Region 47 Wellington.
