Join Nature Guelph Bird Wing on October 3rd, 2024 from 7:30-9:00 pm for a presentation from Sandy Darling of the Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch. In this talk Sandy will take us through an introduction to hawk watching! Keith will cover 1) Where to see hawks; 2) Tips on how to identify what you see; 3) Raptor population trends and 4) How to get involved! 

This event will be hosted in person at Wild Birds Unlimited Guelph (987 Gordon St, Guelph, ON).  

About the Speaker: Sandy Darling of Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch  

Sandy Darling has been watching hawks since the early 1990s.  He started counting hawks for the Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch in 2008, has edited the organization’s newsletter since 2010, and is currently the count coordinator.  He lived in Egypt for five years, where he watched hawks migrating along the Red Sea coast and developed an interest in international birding. World-wide, he has seen almost 240 species of diurnal raptors.
