Walk Description
Join Nature Guelph Bird Wing for a guided Fall Bird Walk around Guelph Lake Conversation Area with volunteers Laurena Kirkwood-Lazazzera, Colin Gerber and Marlene Paibomesai. This walk will feature the start of fall bird migration and an early view of the fall colours in the Guelph area. Enjoy a Sunday morning out in nature observing our many feathered friends as they make their journey south.
Please note that an entrance fee ($8.50/adult) is required to access Guelph Lake Conservation Area. If applicable, a Grand River Conservation Areas membership card covers day-use admission fees for up to six people arriving together in one personal vehicle (see notes below on how you can borrow a card). Participants are expected to pay their own fees.

LOCATION & TIME: Meet at Canadian Tire parking lot (10 Woodlawn Road East – public transit stops nearby) at 8:45 am. Alternatively, those wishing to meet in the park, please meet at 9 am at the lower beach parking lot (small lot near main beach on old Watson Road).
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Distance: Approximately 3 km walking
Terrain: Mostly flat with some rocks and roots and some wet spots
Trail Difficulty: Easy
Washrooms: TBD
Bring: Binoculars and dress for the weather
