SUMMARY:Winter Birding in Algonquin Park
DESCRIPTION:Join the Bird Wing group in Algonquin for a full day of winter 
 birding. Catch a glimpse of the many winter finches that frequent the park
 . Enjoy the calls of Crossbills as they fly overhead. We might even be luc
 ky enough to spot a Spruce Grouse\, Canada Jay or the notorious Black-back
 ed Woodpecker. \n\nWe will be starting at the Algonquin Park Visitor Cent
 re and heading out to other hotspots such as Spruce Bog Boardwalk\, Opeong
 o Road and Barron Canyon Trail. Participants will be responsible for their
  own accommodations and travel to Algonquin. \n\nREGISTRATION REQUIRED (L
 imited to 20 participants) Nature Guelph members are welcome to register e
 arly. Non-members may only register two weeks before the event. https://fo

 y-friendly\, BUT there will be prolonged periods of waiting/standing aroun
 d\, potentially in cold\, windy\, and/or wet weather. This event is likely
  not suitable for young children.\n 	There may be no food service options 
 in the Park in February so everyone is encouraged to bring all the food an
 d supplies they will need for the day.\n 	DRESS WARMLY &amp\; IN LAYERS! I
 t will be colder than you think!\n 	Bring your binoculars and spotting sco
 pes if you have them. If you need some binoculars\, Guelph Public Library 
 has binoculars that can be borrowed. \n\nNature Guelph events are open to
  non-members and everyone is welcome! This event is free\, but donations a
 re always appreciated. If you enjoy our events and programs\, we hope you
