DESCRIPTION:Join Nature Guelph Wildflower for a spring ephemeral walk in Vi
 ctoria Woods searching for these fascinating plants. Spring ephemerals lit
 erally “make hay while the sun shines.” Growing deep in the shade of t
 he forest\, these plants must flower\, set seed and store food in the shor
 t six weeks between snow melt and tree leaf out. We will take photos and l
 og our findings on iNaturalist as part of Guelph’s City Nature Challenge
 . \n\nFor the first time\, Guelph is taking part in the City Nature Chall
 enge\, a worldwide community-based citizen science project. Local resident
 s are asked to make observations in their neighbourhoods and green spaces 
 and share those observations on iNaturalist during the four-day period. Cl
