DESCRIPTION:Dr. Sarah Burch\n–\nDr. Burch will address accelerating progr
 ess on climate change – from international negotiations to local communi
 ty action. She will also discuss strategies to both reduce greenhouse gas 
 emissions and enhance resilience for communities and ecosystems facing mor
 e frequent and severe climate impacts.\n\nDr. Sarah Burch is a Professor a
 t the University of Waterloo\, Canada Research Chair in Sustainability Gov
 ernance and Innovation\, and Executive Director of the Waterloo Climate In
 stitute. She is renowned for her research on climate adaptation\, sustaina
 bility governance\, and policy innovation at local to global levels.\n&nbs
 p\;\n\n\n\n\n\nCakes for Apes Bake Sale\nWe will be hosting a bake sale at
  the Speaker Series event\, with proceeds going toward orangutan conservat
 ion. There will also be a draw for two tea towels from International Anima
