SUMMARY:Field Trip: October 2026 Bird Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join Bird Safe Guelph and Nature Guelph Bird Wing for a day of 
 finding fall migrating birds within the Wellington/Waterloo area.  With f
 all migration underway\, this volunteer-led trip will visit a few spots wh
 ere a variety of birds are likely to be encountered.  Our targets will in
 clude shorebirds\, waterfowl\, songbirds\, raptors and anything else we ca
 n find.\nPotential locations may include:\n\n\n 	Guelph Lake\n 	Hespeler M
 ill Pond\n 	Wilson’s Flats\n 	University of Guelph's Arboretum\n\nActual
  locations visited and route will be decided closer to the day based on re
 cent sightings.\nREGISTRATION REQUIRED (Limited to 25 participants). This 
 trip is open to all including Nature Guelph and Bird Safe Guelph members a

 ; TIME: Meet at Wild Birds Unlimited (987 Gordon Street\, Unit 2\, Guelph 
 ON N1G 4W3) to arrange carpooling at 8 am. We should arrive back in Guelph
  around 2 pm.\nIMPORTANT DETAILS\n\n\n 	This event includes considerable t
 ravel by car.  Public transport is not available.\n 	This event is family
 -friendly\, BUT there will be prolonged periods of waiting/standing around
 \, potentially in cold\, windy\, and/or wet weather. This event is likely 
 not suitable for young children.\n 	This event is NOT dog-friendly.\n 	Thi
 s will be a full day so please be prepared with snacks\, lunch\, water and
  a warm beverage. There are opportunities for quick food and washroom stop
 s along the way.\n 	DRESS WARMLY! It may be colder than you think!\n 	Brin
 g your binoculars and spotting scopes if you have them. If you need some b
 inoculars\, Guelph Public Library has binoculars that can be borrowed.\n 	
 Carpooling can be arranged by participants at the meeting spot or ahead of
