 rd and ensure we celebrate many more breeding seasons to come. Piping Plov
 ers returned to Ontario in 2007 after a 30-year absence and in 2025 they c
 elebrated their 19th breeding season back on our beaches. This meeting is 
 online only via Zoom.\n\nSydney completed her schooling at the University 
 of Guelph in Wildlife Biology and Conservation and at Fleming College in t
 he Ecosystem Management Technology Program. While at Guelph\, Sydney becam
 e *obsessed* with birds when volunteering with Wild Ontario. Following gra
 duation\, Sydney worked with Ontario Turtles at Risk and loved every secon
 d\, but always knew she’d migrate back to working with birds. Sydney now
  coordinates the Ontario Piping Plover Conservation Program with Birds Can
 ada where she works on direct protection\, research\, and recovery efforts
  for one of Ontario’s most endangered birds. But Sydney knows that savin
 g species doesn’t happen in isolation – it takes a community. Every da
 y\, she collaborates with passionate individuals and organizations\, uniti
 ng behind a shared goal. She’s inspired daily by the power of community 
 stewardship and is dedicated to empowering others to take action for wildl
