SUMMARY:Helping Flower Flies Fluorish
DESCRIPTION:\n\nAlice Dabrowski\, Ph.D. Candidate\, University of Guelph \n
 – Pollinators are in decline. To counter this\, you may hear “save the
bees”\, “build a butterfly garden”...but have you though “feed th
e flies”? Flower flies\, or hoverflies\, are valuable garden heroes in b
oth their adult and larval stages. Alice Dabrowski will discuss flower fly
identification\, habitat requirements\, where to search to flower flies\,
and garden recommendations. Connecting to February's iNaturalist presenta
tions\, Alice will highlight how community science is contributing to inte
resting flower fly observations.\n\nAbove photo: Katja Schulz CC BY 2.0\n\
