SUMMARY:Hawkwatching to Hawk Cliff
DESCRIPTION:Walk Description \n\nJoin Nature Guelph for a day of hawk watc
 hing in the Lake Erie region.  With the fall migration underway\, we will
  visit a prime location for raptor viewing - Hawk Cliff (Port Stanley\, ON
 ).  This outing will be a follow-up for our October speaker session (Oct 
 3 - Introduction to Hawkwatching).\n\nHawk Cliff - Port Stanley - https://

 wk Cliff\, in Port Stanley\, has grown in popularity and today it is recog
 nized as one of the prime fall migration hawk watching destinations in Nor
 th America. Birders can normally expect to see some 15 different raptor sp
 ecies with typical count totals reaching several thousand birds per day. O
 n a few exceptional occasions\, lucky visitors have witnessed the amazing 
 spectacle of over 100\,000 raptors of various species migrating past Hawk 
 Cliff in a single day!\n\nREGISTRATION REQUIRED (Limited to 20 participant
 s): https://forms.gle/2yx682Gtv6Nn5irT7 \n\nLOCATION &amp\; TIME: Meet at
  Wild Birds Unlimited (987 Gordon Street\, Unit 2\, Guelph ON N1G 4W3) to 
 arrange carpooling at 8 am. We should arrive back in Guelph by 3 or 4 pm.\
 n\nIMPORTANT DETAILS \n\n 	This event is family-friendly\, BUT there will
  be prolonged periods of waiting/standing around\, potentially in cold\, w
 indy\, and/or wet weather. This event is likely not suitable for young chi
 ldren.\n 	This event is NOT dog-friendly.\n 	This will be a full day pleas
 e be prepared with snacks\, lunch\, water and a warm beverage. There are o
 pportunities for quick food stops along the way or bring your own lunch.\n
  	DRESS WARMLY! It will be colder than you think! Dress for the weather 
 – it’s often colder than you think along the water\, so wear lots of l
 ayers! And you might get wet next to the falls.\n 	Bring your binoculars a
 nd spotting scopes if you have them. If you need some binoculars\, Guelph 
 Public Library has binoculars that can be borrowed. \n 	Carpooling can be
  arranged by participants at the meeting spot or ahead of time.\n\nEmail
