SUMMARY:Field Trip: Fall Shorebird Ramble
DESCRIPTION:Join Nature Guelph Bird Wing group for a day of finding shorebi
 rds within the Wellington/Waterloo area.  With the fall migration underwa
 y\, we will visit a few spots where shorebirds are likely to be encountere
 d locally.  This volunteer-led outing will be a follow-up for our Septemb
 er speaker session (Sept 4 - Southbound Shorebirds with Jean Iron).\n\nPot
 ential locations may include:\n\n 	Guelph Lake\n 	Belwood Lake &amp\; vici
 nity\n 	Wilson’s Flats\n 	Floradale\n\nActual locations visited and rout
 e will be decided closer to the day based on recent sightings.\n\nREGISTRA
 TION REQUIRED (Limited to 20 participants) Nature Guelph members are welco
 me to register early. Non-members may only register two weeks before the e

 en to non-members and everyone is welcome! This event is free\, but donati
 ons are always appreciated. If you enjoy our events and programs\, we hope
  you will consider buying an annual membership. Nature Guelph memberships 
 are: Individual: $30.00\, Student: $15 www.natureguelph.ca\n\nLOCATION &am
 p\; TIME: Meet at Wild Birds Unlimited (987 Gordon Street\, Unit 2\, Guelp
 h ON N1G 4W3) to arrange carpooling at 8 am. We should arrive back in Guel
 ph by 2 or 3 pm.\n\nIMPORTANT DETAILS \n\n 	This event includes considera
 ble travel by car.  Public transport is not available.\n 	This event is f
 amily-friendly\, BUT there will be prolonged periods of waiting/standing a
 round\, potentially in cold\, windy\, and/or wet weather. This event is li
 kely not suitable for young children.\n 	This event is NOT dog-friendly.\n
  	This will be a full day please be prepared with snacks\, lunch\, water a
 nd a warm beverage. There are opportunities for quick food stops along the
  way or bring your own lunch.\n 	DRESS WARMLY! It will be colder than you 
 think! Dress for the weather – it’s often colder than you think along 
 the water\, so wear lots of layers! And you might get wet next to the fall
 s.\n 	Bring your binoculars and spotting scopes if you have them. If you n
 eed some binoculars\, Guelph Public Library has binoculars that can be bor
 rowed. \n 	Carpooling can be arranged by participants at the meeting spot
