SUMMARY:Bird Spring Migration Field Trip (Waitlist Available)
DESCRIPTION:Join the Nature Guelph Bird Wing group at one of Ontario’s pr
 emier spring migration hotspots: Rondeau Provincial Park! The group will m
 eet inside the park at 7:00AM\, and will visit a variety of trails and hab
 itats in and around the park\, ending mid-afternoon (including a break for
  lunch). Participation in the afternoon portion of the trip is optional. T
 he exact itinerary for the day will depend on the weather and birding cond
 itions. Participants should expect to walk several kilometers over the cou
 rse of the day\, with some driving to trailheads. Carpooling is encouraged
  and can be arranged before or during the event. Participants should plan 
 to bring their own lunch\, and will need to pay for entry into the park.

 ing migrants\, including warblers\, vireos\, sparrows\, flycatchers\, thru
 shes and more. \n\nRondeau Provincial Park is located on the north shore 
 of Lake Erie near Morpeth\, Ontario\, south of Highway 401 off of Kent Bri
 dge Rd. Washrooms and water are available throughout the park\, but option
 s for food near the park are limited\, so participants are encouraged to b
 ring their own food. As the weather in May can be variable\, the following
  is recommended: optics (binoculars and/or camera)\, layered clothing suit
 able for both cold and warm weather\, rainwear\, a hat\, comfortable footw
 ear\, sunscreen\, snacks\, and lunch. Rubber boots may be recommended depe
 nding on the water level in Lake Erie.\n\nAbout the walk:\n\n 	This event 
 is family-friendly\, BUT there will be prolonged periods of waiting/standi
 ng around\, potentially in cold\, windy\, and/or wet weather. \n 	Dress f
