DESCRIPTION:David Fields\n\n– \n\nDavid will explore how healthy\, diver
 se ecosystems can resist invasive species – and how community-centred re
 storation can contribute to climate resilience. The talk examines the impa
 cts of invasive species on riparian ecosystems and looks at how the princi
 ples of biotic resistance can inform buckthorn management and ecological r
 estoration\, drawing on field trials along the Eramosa and Speed Rivers. L
 andowners and communities working together can restore healthy ecosystems 
 and help build resilience to impacts of climate change.\n\nOver the past s
 everal years\, David Fields has worked on freshwater and riparian restorat
 ion projects across southern Ontario\, bringing together communities\, lan
 downers\, volunteers\, conservation organizations\, and funders to create 
 meaningful\, community-centred impact. His work has included rehabilitatin
 g riparian corridors\, mapping and managing invasive species\, and explori
 ng practical ways to help freshwater ecosystems be more resilient to a cha
 nging climate.\n\nDavid enjoys helping people get dirty for a more hopeful
